Product Description

The temperature variations along the core in contact with liquid hot metal generate displacements of the core and attitude to cracks due to sand expansions and weakening of the binder. The liquid metal will penetrate any cracks, causing veining defects on the casting. The core's attitude to withstand toward expansion depends upon many factors included composition of its skeleton (quality and grain size distribution of the sand used), the binder used (quantity and chemical composition), and the thermal stress. The “Hot Flex” equipment allows to end users to evaluate the deformation attitude of the specimen and get temperature measurements on the specimen. Supplied with graphic viewer suitable for PCs with Window OS.
